Niaga Run, series 7 of Larian Rakan Muda 3.0, flags off at 7.30am on Sunday 13 September 2026 at Dataran Kemerdekaan, Seksyen 14, Shah Alam. Organiser is Kelab Olahraga Alpha. RaceXasia holds the entries. Registration closed 1 September, so this is a race-pack and spectator note, not a "sign up tonight" pitch. Race pack collection is 12 September, 10.30am to 6.00pm, at Decathlon Shah Alam. If you already paid, that is the only errand that matters today.
Distances are a 5km fun run and a 3km fun walk. Fees were RM35 with medal and T-shirt, RM15 medal only, plus admin. The 2026 medal is a puzzle piece. You collect a different piece at each series if you are doing the full Rakan Muda year: Litar, Bumi, Mahir, Ekspresi, Muzik, Demokrasi, then this Niaga Run, then Aktif, Digital, and a Prihatin finale. Most people will run once and keep one piece. That is fine.
Dataran Kemerdekaan on a Sunday morning
This square already hosts Shah Alam's car-free mornings. Roads around Persiaran Bandar Raya get cones. If you live in Seksyen 13 or 14, walk. If you are coming off LRT3, check the nearest Shah Alam Line stop to Dataran and add a Grab for the last bit. Do not park on the square. Decathlon for pack collection is a separate trip on Saturday. Mix those up and you will be the person arguing at the start chute without a bib.
Flag-off 7.30am, reporting from 6.30am. Bring the usual: shoes, water, IC. This is a fun run, not a PB course. The Blue Mosque is in the background if you look north. Use that for photos, then leave the lawn before the late morning heat sits on the padang.
If you are not running
Spectating is free and actually pleasant if you stand on the mosque side rather than the stage. Food trucks follow these Alpha Club mornings more often than not. There is no official vendor list on RaceXasia. Eat after at Seksyen 7 or i-City, not from a random cooler on the kerb unless you like that lottery.

For everyone else, collect Saturday, sleep, show up at 6.30am, run the 5km, go for breakfast. Shah Alam does this square well. The puzzle medal is a gimmick. The 7.30am start is the useful part.
Larian Rakan Muda 3.0 has been using Dataran Kemerdekaan all year, often on the same mornings as Shah Alam Hari Tanpa Kenderaan. If cones are already out for a car-free programme, the 5km will share the padang with walkers. Stay in your start pen. The Blue Mosque lawn is for photos after you finish, not a cut-through. Decathlon Shah Alam for packs is on the retail strip, not at the square. Saturday collection 10.30am to 6pm is the last window. Miss it and you are the problem at 6.30am on Sunday.
